Reduced failures from over-tightening
The TMHN 7 set of lock nut spanners is designed to make the mounting of self-aligning ball bearings more professional. To help ensure long-term reliability when mounting self-aligning ball bearings, it is vital to install the bearing with correct radial clearance.
- 7 different-sized spanners to fit nut sizes 5 to 11
- Each spanner is clearly marked with correct tightening angle and protractor
- 4 grip points on each spanner giving better and safer grip on the nut
- Reduced risk of damaging bearing by over-tightening

Using HNM 11 spanner to adjust a self aligning ball bearing
Tighten the nut using hand-pressure only, to make metal-to-metal contact between the tapered surfaces. Do not use the handle. |
Mark the shaft at a point corresponding to the beginning of the orange semicircular marking on the tool. |
Tighten the nut using the handle until the shaft marking corresponds to the end of the orange semicircular marking. Lock the nut. |
NOTE: Make sure that the adapter sleeve does not move on the shaft while tightening.
